Compulsory 5 Days Staff Training : It is a statutory requirement that we close for a minimum of 5 days a year for staff training to ensure that we provide higher quality care to all the children attending our setting. On these days, childcare fees area expected to be paid, and unfortunately, we are unable to swap any sessions that fall on these days. FEEE Staff Training Days will focus on how to effectively support the children getting the Free 15 & 30 Hours Gvt Funded Session to ensure they are getting the best start in life.
Bank Holiday Closure: Childcare fees are expected to be paid on these bank holidays and unfortunately, we are unable to swap any sessions that fall on these days.
Meet the Key-Person Day:
Our Nursery have several “Meet the Key Person Days” over the year to give all parents the opportunity to attend at least once a year. On these days, our nursery will be opened and sessions will run as normal. However, your child's key person will be available to meet you in the office to discuss your child’s progress and or any concerns you might have. This meeting will give parents and the key person the opportunity to share tips on toilet training, put into place an “Individual Development Plan” and discuss referrals if necessary etc. The meeting will last no more than 30mins and parents are required to book at least 4 weeks in advance by sending an email to your branch office email address followed by completion of the booking form from our parents portal. These appointments will be available on a first come first served basis. Parents can bring their child with them to play at no extra charge.
UNLESS WE HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT, WE WILL NOT ASK YOU FOR A MEETING. INSTEAD, WE WILL WAIT FOR YOUR REQUEST.
Parents and Grand Parents Stay and Play Visits:
Parents can come in and spend some time with their child and the other children. We have the following activities available to choose from: A Big Talk, Story Time, Art and Craft, Baking/Cooking, Singing and Dancing, Sport etc.
Parents will be asked to choose their preferred activity(ies) in advance to enable us to plan for the visit. We are only able to accommodate 1 parent at a time and there is no limit on the number of visits a parent can book.
