Staff Portal

Everyone working at Renaissance Nurseries must be suitable to work with children

We have a rigorous Recruitment Program to ensure every child's safety. Every prospective staff will attend an interview and undergo intensive checks such as Enhanced DBS checks, Right to Work and references before starting with us. A complete induction program is in place for all new staff, and everyone joining us will be placed on a minimum six months probation period to ensure that they are the best fit for their role. We aim to have 100% of our staff who work directly with children hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Staff working with babies are trained to do so, and our staff qualifications range from Masters In Childcare to qualified Level 2. We also have non-qualified staff with a range of experiences in looking after children gained by looking after their children or working in Early Years settings.

Our Commitment

The management team conducts regular learning walks, and a detailed mandatory training program is in place for every staff member. Regular Safeguarding and Child Protection quizzes are taken by staff, and staff are encouraged to take on higher qualifications. A personalised training plan is agreed upon with individual staff when a knowledge gap is identified and reviewed regularly. We conduct regular group staff meetings, one-to-one supervisions and appraisal meetings. Staff are encouraged to raise concerns.
