Celebrating Our Children's Achievements

At Renaissance Nurseries, we are thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of our children as they progress through their learning journey. This term, each room has engaged in exciting activities that foster growth and creativity. From developing fine motor skills through arts and crafts to exploring basic numeracy with fun games, our young learners are thriving. We take immense pride in tracking their developments, and we invite parents to celebrate these milestones with us during our upcoming Meet the Key-Person meetings.

Engaging Learning

Our dedicated staff have crafted an array of stimulating learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of our children. This term, themed weeks have allowed the children to explore topics such as 'People Who Help Us In the Community', music, incorporating storytelling, and physical activities that nurture both imagination and critical thinking. These experiences not only keep the children engaged but also lay the foundation for essential skills necessary for their future.

Key Reminders for Parents

As we move through the term, we would like to remind parents of some important dates and events. The upcoming parents' evening is scheduled for Tue 14 Oct and Wed 15 Oct, providing an opportunity to discuss your child's progress with their key worker. Additionally, please remember to bring in warm clothing as we will be spending more time outdoors to embrace the changing seasons. Your active participation is highly encouraged and appreciated.

Community Involvement & Support

We believe that a strong community enhances our nursery's environment. This coming term, Renaissance Nurseries will partnered with local organisations to organise workshops for parents on child development and wellbeing. Additionally, our outreach programme will collecte donations for our local food bank, showcasing the spirit of giving within our nursery family. We look forward to continuing these initiatives and encourage further community involvement.

Highlights from Each Room

Each playroom has been buzzing with activity! The toddlers have been experimenting with colours during their art sessions, while the preschool children have taken on the role of mini scientists, conducting simple experiments to understand the world around them. Staff have documented these experiences through photos and observations, which are available in the Famly portal. We encourage parents to explore these and share in their children's joy and learning!

Engaging Activities at Renaissance Nurseries

Discover the shared experiences and activities that children have enjoyed this term. Each room is focusing on different EYFS areas, encouraging growth and development through play and exploration. Our dedicated staff design stimulating activities that cater to the diverse interests and developmental stages of our children. We ensure that every activity not only supports learning but also sparks curiosity and joy in each child.

Exploring
Communication

In our Language and Communication areas, children are immersed in storytelling sessions, rhyme time, and role-play activities. This term, we introduced a weekly story club where children choose their favourite books, fostering a love for reading and enhancing their vocabulary through interactive discussions.

Developing
Social Skills

We place a strong emphasis on Personal, Social and Emotional Development in every activity. Through group play and cooperative tasks, children learn to communicate effectively, build friendships, and develop a sense of responsibility. This term, our 'Friendship Tree' project has encouraged children to express their feelings and celebrate kindness in nursery.

Learning Maths Through Play

Our Maths areas are filled with engaging games and activities designed to foster an early understanding of numbers, shapes, and patterns. This term, children have enjoyed bean counting, shape sorting, and measuring during our outdoor exploration sessions, allowing them to apply mathematical concepts in real-life contexts.

Imaginative and Arts Play

Creativity is at the heart of our curriculum. In our Arts and Crafts zones, children have engaged in a variety of artistic projects, from painting to collage making. Our imaginative play areas have seen children collaborate in building adventures and narratives, enhancing their creativity and self-expression. This term's highlight has been our themed art exhibitions, showcasing their fantastic work.

Growing Together as One Family

At Renaissance Nurseries, our dedicated staff are at the heart of everything we do. Each staff brings their unique skills and passion for early childhood education, ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in life. Our educators are trained professionals, committed to nurturing and guiding your little ones as they explore and learn in a safe and stimulating environment. We take pride in creating strong relationships with families, working together to support each child's development.

Winter Clothing Reminders

As winter begins to settle in, we encourage all parents to ensure their children are dressed appropriately for the colder weather. Please provide your child with warm clothing including hats, gloves, scarves, and sturdy boots. We spend time both indoors and outdoors, and it is essential that children are kept warm and dry while engaging in outdoor activities.

As we move through the season, we kindly remind parents to keep children at home if they are unwell. This helps protect the health of all children and staff and prevents the spread of illness within the nursery. Children should only return once they are fully recovered and able to participate comfortably in daily activities as per exclusion requirement.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

To support a calm and consistent start to the day, we kindly ask parents to adhere to our designated drop-off times. Arriving before 9:30 am allows staff to welcome each child warmly, help them settle, and ensure they are fully prepared for the day’s planned activities.

As part of our commitment to safety and safeguarding, we also ask parents to follow our established pick-up times. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the end of your child’s session to allow sufficient time for handover, updates from staff, and a calm transition home. For security reasons, only individuals listed on your child’s registration form are authorised to collect them. If there are any changes to collection arrangements, please notify us in advance

Funding Code & Consumables

Please ensure that you renew your 11-digit funding code as soon as you are prompted. Failure to complete the renewal will result in the loss of funding for a minimum of one full term. If you hold a 6-digit funding code, no further action is required.

Please be reminded that our term-time sessions are available exclusively to non-working parents and students. A consumables fee is applicable for families accessing the Government-funded 15 hours who are not in employment, and we may request proof of unemployment at any time to confirm eligibility. Where consumables fees remain unpaid, your child’s sessions will be transferred to Mini Sessions, in which consumables charges do not apply.

Stay in Touch with Us

We encourage open communication between families and educators. Our staff is always available to discuss your child’s progress and answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out via email or arrange a meeting via the portal at your convenience as it could be very busy during pick-up and drop-off. Additionally, regular newsletters and updates will keep you informed about nursery news, events, and important reminders.

We kindly ask parents to take a few moments to complete our Parent Consultation Form. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us continue to improve and enhance the quality of our services.
