Aicha
Ofsted Registered Person and Lead Manager
SENCo and Child Protection Lead
Languages: French, Fullah, Susu, Mandinka and English
Aicha has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with children, including those with SEND. Through the French education system, she initially studied Social Sciences, then studied Business Management at University before going into teaching. Over the past 15 years, she obtained several Childcare Qualifications and statutes. Aicha is a Childcare Consultant, Child Protection Trainer and SEND Mentor. Away from her settings, she supports nursery owners and managers in providing children with a safe environment and quality care. She has a big love for children and works in partnership with charities, schools, and orphanages. Aicha has three children and is a Special Guardian to three others. When not busy being a mum and working, she enjoys travelling, open-water diving, cooking, skiing, horse riding and swimming. Aicha is funny, very friendly and is always up for a laugh.

Rachael is a valuable member of our Leadership Team with outstanding knowledge of Child Development and how to provide children with quality and challenging learning environments and experiences. Over the past nine years, Rachael worked in primary schools as a Class Teacher before deciding to join our Early Years Team. In her recent role, Rachael was a Subject Leader, responsible for the academic progress of the year 3 class children. She enjoys being musically and artistically creative in her spare time and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Julia is a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated member of our Leadership Team. Julia first joined us as a parent before joining our team in 2016. Before joining us, Julia gained much experience working as a Primary School Teaching Assistant whilst completing her Education Degree at Leeds University. Julia is a strong supporter of outdoor play & believes that children learn best if they take part in real-life experiences. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her two children, family & friends, travelling, cycling, playing tennis, crafting and gardening.

Bia
Our Employee of the Term - Autumn 2023
This term, Bia received the highest staff nomination. Over the past months, she has shown dedication and commitment to our children specially to those who speak French as an additional language. Throughout the day, she can be heard singing and dancing with the children. Always aware of the children's needs and giving lot of cuddles. Many children have built a strong relationship with her and would often want to join her fun activities. Bia gives great regards to our children with additional needs and shows lot of care toward them. Thank you Bia!
Jeanne
Our Employee of the Term - Summer 2023
Jeanne achieved an Outstanding score on Safeguarding at her last 2 supervisions. This makes Jeanne the second person ever rated Outstanding in her knowledge of safeguarding and child protection by our Lead Manager in almost two decades. Yes, what a picky Lead Manager we have, lol!!! Jeanne has been with us for almost ten years. She started with us as a volunteer when she was only 14 and came to help after high school. Last year, Jeanne graduated from Leeds University, and for this, we are very proud of her... Well Done, Jeanne! Keep up with the hard work...
Our Employee of the Term - Spring 2023
Carla, AKA Auntie Carla, has been with us since 2015. She is our Chef, with a "5 Start" Food Hygiene rating on every inspection for almost a decade. She always cooks healthy and tasty food from around the world for the children. Carla can be seen in the rooms with the children, singing Portuguese songs and nursery rhymes and offering meals. She helps settle children who speak Portuguese as a first language, making the transition less stressful. Carla is highly dedicated to supporting the team. Parents shared that children get excited when they see her and talk about the fantastic cooking and baking activities they do with her. A parent shared, "Carla is a deeply caring and fun member of staff who has built her knowledge and English skills. When she is around, we know there is fun to be had!" Thank you, Carla!

Katelan
Our Employee of the Term - Autumn 2022
Katelan joined us as a student doing her college placement with us before achieving her level 3 childcare qualification and becoming a permanent team member. Katelan received over 80% of the staff nominations this term, making her the holder of the highest nominations in a given period. Parents agree that Katelan always takes the time to tell them about their child’s day, making them very happy as they hear about their child's fantastic time at nursery. Katelan has shown great dedication at the nursery as she supports the preschool children and engages them in fun and challenging daily activities. She takes feedback constructively, following every staff observation to ensure she delivers outstanding teaching to the children. Keep up the great work, Katelan!
Our Employee of the Term - Summer 2022
Riz has been with us since 2017. This term, she cracked on with her Personal Development Plan by completing all agreed training to support her professional development. Riz has even taken the step to acquire a higher childcare qualification starting in September, which we are very proud of her for. Riz has successfully mentored a college student in completing her Level 3 in Childcare. She has taken lead responsibilities in the absence of the Manager as she focuses on ensuring that procedures put into place are followed to ensure the smooth running of the setting and to keep children safe. Parents shared that Riz is very polite, and many mentioned that their children would be excited to come to the nursery when they tell them Riz would be there. Well done, Riz!

Our Employee of the Term - Spring 2022
Alisha has been with us for several years and started with us as an apprentice. Last year, she gained her Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People Workforce. Since starting with us, she has gained outstanding knowledge, and this term, she has shown great confidence in dealing with parents and supporting children in their learning and development. Alisha has demonstrated a great attitude toward improving her knowledge, and this term, she has completed her Food Hygiene training and renewed her Paediatric First Aid certificate without being reminded. She has also completed all courses listed on our Staff Training Plan. You are a Start, Alisha!

Taminah has been with us since 2013. This term, she has shown a lot of care and patience toward all our children. She has shown tremendous dedication toward her professional development by taking all feedback constructively, completing her training successfully, and making important decisions independently regarding routine and daily tasks. Fina has been with us since 2019. She has shown deep dedication and passion in supporting our children with SEN this term. She planned some fantastic activities in Spanish and always kept a close eye on the children's safety. Thank you, Fina!

Over the years , we have cared for hundreds of children and welcomed families across Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Harrogate and Sheffield as we focus on offering children quality care and education as we promote diversity and inclusion across our curriculum. Thank you to all the families who have supported us over the years.
Our staff qualifications range from qualified Teachers to Level 2 in childcare.
All our unqualified staff and those with a Level 2 are working toward a childcare qualification. The majority of our Level 3 qualified staff are working toward a higher qualification.
