Why is the Setting Not Outstanding and Needs to Improve?

During the inspection visit, there were times when staff needed to pause and wait longer for the children to work out their responses when they were asked a question before being prompted by the team. For this reason, despite the inspector agreeing that “Children develop good communication skills, including in English”, she believes that staff's interactions and questioning skills should be strengthened further so that they understand the importance of giving children more time to think and respond to help develop their speech and language skills even further.  As a team, we will carry on building the skills and knowledge required to support children’s Communication and Language Development even more effectively as we celebrate our 10th anniversary of providing outstanding care and education in our community this year.
